Anyone had a blood test come back with too many red blood cells?

The doctor isn't really concerned (she says it might be dehydration) but she's doing repeat bloods in a fortnight. She also said not to Google it but I did 馃槶馃槶馃槶

Yes... I was at the stage of being referred to haematology before Covid19 kicked in.

Your doctor is right... don't worry about it at the stage that you are at. One abnormal result is nothing to worry about and there's no point in crossing bridges before you get to them.

By the time you next get tested, your results might be back to normal again, anyway.

@HootyTheNightOwl I hope so. I also hope you're doing ok.
@Starsandfire I don't know... I couldn't get an appointment at my preferred haematology department before Covid19 shut the department down and now I need to sort out a new referral to try again.

At times, I've been as worried about it as you are because what Google says is scary stuff... but, it's possible that we may both just need some warferin pills to sort it out - and I'm trying to cling to that idea until I'm told differently.

Of course, I know that sleep apnea could be a possibility for me since I had it as a child, but I will cross that bridge when I get to it.

@HootyTheNightOwl polycythemia vera is rare though and even rarer in under 60s sooo it would be unlucky 馃檨
@Starsandfire Yeah, I'm thinking that, too.
