Does anybody else find this odd or right?

It turns out companies have no values of there own. Take this recent article about Trader Joes. They said they would do one thing until they found out there customers do not care. How about they have an idea on there own what they want and stick with there ideals. Is it all about profits?

of course its all about profits. Companies only exist to make profits, anything else is always secondary.

And sticking with something customers dont care about or dont want, would just be stupid. Of course, quite often the metric for 'customers dont care about' is, 'Management doesnt like'.

@firefall I would say the companies values and ideas can change over time after all society does change. But, to just change, because they think it's what others want causes me to lose all respect for them. Granted I don't shop there.
