We are all capable of telling each other our age and then we can decide what is an appropriate conversation based on the age of the participants.

Personally, I assume most people are probably not telling me the truth any way.

I don't think there should be and age filter. That would suggest people of certain ages shouldn't be friends with people of certain other ages, and I don't agree with that. There's a great deal the very young can learn from the very old, and vice versa.

I think we put too much stock on age, I have chatted to some young people on here that are much more mature than older people.. I like to keep an open mind and enjoy chatting to anyone of interest and who is interesting

But it is a site based in the US, so it could infringe their freedom of speech.

That and guns seem to be the only important rights. Safety of children does not seem to count!

i think lots of time if they are under 18 and say so ,no one will talk with them at all obviously ,so they come back with a fake age . why exclude that entire age group?
