Need an opinion on travel please!

So before I even ask this, I want to preface with I am VERY aware that COVID-19 is real and dangerous. This is why I am completely torn.

My significant other received access to a beautiful gulf front condo in a couple of weeks for free from a client. It's in the FL panhandle (which FL is an epicenter, I am aware), but the cases here are lower comparatively. I have been very excited by this trip, but now a bit hesitant given the state of everything.

I love the beach. And travel...and I've been a hermit the past few months because of this pandemic. Does anyone think it's possible to go and be relatively safe? We will be driving, mainly limiting activities to beach, where we have a 10x10' tent to set up. We are avid mask wearers, hand washers/sanitizers, will be driving, limiting meals to our condo and take out.

Thoughts?

I hate to back out of this trip, but I also don't want to endanger myself or others.

I'm not a doctor...but your driving (good)...you'll be hanging out at the beach (good)....I would just disinfect the heck out of the place your staying....spray, bleach, whatever it takes. Maybe bring your own bedding and pillows? Paper plates & plastic wear...it's not exactly "classy" but you can dump it all at the end.

@luctoretemergo No I totally get it. I also messaged the property management group and they do this electrostatic disinfect in addition to basic cleaning before the guests can check in.

@Prttylttlthng I'm sure you'll be ok - sounds like your doing all the right things. Your lucky to get away!...Welcome to the normal I guess...have fun! :)
