I didn’t even realize it was there until I read a comment on a question a few minutes ago.
So I checked it out....

You must not have any filters on your messages...?....if you’ve set filters then those filtered ones go to message requests instead of your inbox. @dirge

@ImpeccablyImperfect both are empty, so it's unlikely to matter much.
