There is context for this quote, but I also love it as a stand-alone piece

@JoeMW I blame Kirk.

Dammit, Jim, what did you do?!
JoeMW · 51-55, M
@TiffAching he changed humpback whales into blue whales too 😁
TiffAching · 26-30, F
@JoeMW Old!Kirk wouldn’t have done that, has to be new!Kirk. Old!Kirk was also a lot less of a horndog than people think he is.
JoeMW · 51-55, M
@TiffAching true, it was only every other week that he seduced the alien ladies

@JoeMW Ha! :)

I read a defense of Old!Kirk a while ago, have to see if I can find it again, that emphasized that for all the Green Space Babe trope gets played up, if anything Old!Kirk’s type was intelligent, educated, and accomplished women, and he struck out with them more often than not. Really got me thinking. I’ll see if I can find it, because I think it’s worth a read regardless of whatever side of whatever Trek Wars debate you’re on.

@TiffAching cool, please post it when you find it, also there are a lot of episodes of the women crushing on Spock

@JoeMW

Here we go. Warning, it’s a very long read, but worth it.

The link goes straight to the “womanizer” part, but, seriously, whole thing’s good.
