Does using words like 'cognitive dissonance' make you smarter ?

Say what you mean and mean what you say. You will feel better for saying it and we all would appreciate it. Plain talk is better than ten-dollar words any time.

@Nimbus Thanks. I thought it fit, I have a brother who likes to use the "big" words and a couple of times, he said something in German (he studied it in school). He doesn't know I am studying German, at my request, from another SW member and can not only understand what he's saying, but give him back as good as I get. He is beginning to realize that and hates it.
