Allow me to have a quick rant, if you would?

The longer I spend away from relationships, the more I wonder why I ever cared about them in the first place. I suppose it's drilled into our heads from childhood through movies and shows, even from relatives. What I went through was horrific enough, but now it's less that the memory is skewing my image on relationships and more that I realize that they are a waste of time. At some point you'll never be that "special someone" and even if your partner claims it, they had god knows how many other "special someones" in their life. The "I only want you!" line has probably been used on more than a few people. I mean, if I just wanted to have casual encounters that's as easy as loading up an app. Cheaper, too. Maybe it's just modern society, where relationships are worth nothing more than temporary status and can be tossed away at a moment's notice. Perhaps we rush into everything, ignoring the fact that anything good takes time. Maybe we don't have enough standards for ourselves and never see the consequences down the line. Who knows.

Ignore this old aluminum can, just getting some thoughts out of the ol' noggin.

With the internet and social media around I think most people dont have the attention span long enough to have a serious relationship anymore, the second they get bored they can find what they need online instead of putting any effort into their S.O.
