@hartfire I joined EP, the previous site in 2009 and remained until it closed. A friend from there let me know when this site became available. 🙂

@bijouxbroussard That was tough to hang in till the very end - or rather - you would have made some excellent friends and stayed because of them.
I "followed" you back then too. Nothing sleazy - just interested in what you had to say. I was known as heartfire back then. I left about three years before the end due to the fishers and trolls. Also heard about this place from a friend, though probably much later than you did.
What subjects did you teach? Do those topics still hold your attention?
Do you have favourite hobbies or interest groups you attend?

@hartfire You’re right, towards the end I was there because of people I considered friends (still do, some with whom I’ve been speaking for ten years, now). I taught fourth grade English and History. I am still interested in those topics, although “grammar Nazis” annoy me—because they make others feel bad—and then they’re often wrong.
