Is this normal?

I'm taking the wife to visit my dad and his wife for 4th of July but I'm more looking forward to giving them gifts than the celebration.

I got my dad a replica of the Mandalorian helmet and his wife some lemon/chocolate truffles. I'm more looking forward to giving these to them than the barbeque, fireworks, or anything like that.

Anyone else like this?
