When you get more good comments on your writing, even though art (drawing) is what you've been doing most of your life and is what you were gifted at as a child as well...

perhaps your talent is in writing and your drawing hasn't developed at the same pace.

Perhaps you need to disregard what you have learnt with your drawing and see where it takes you.
