Yes and resisting arrest is a big no no.. If a cop wants to cuff you let her and be calm and let the lawyers deal with the outcome.. Most people who who remain calm in such situations get through it and come out the other side alive and well..

But if you want to act up and fight and make a drama of it.. Then you can quickly end up dead.. Christ Rock did a very good public service announcement on this very issue.. It should be a must watch video for all young men no matter what color they are..

@Adstar makes sense- guy has a gun, a taser, tear gas, and half a dozen other cops that have the same stuff - and worse.

turn around, put your hands behind your back and say " I want a lawyerand I'm not saying another word"

@Pretzel Agreed, however, there are a very small percentage of bad cops out there who can and will kill someone doing absolutely nothing wrong, just because they can. Makes it very hard for the good cops just doing their job trying to serve and protect and trying to not get killed too, because cops do get killed by bad people too!

@spjennifer agreed. and sadly there is a wall of silence where you don't want to be a "rat".

so some of the bads ones are run off and because they haven't been disciplined they still have their credentials and can be cops somewhere else.

same thing happens with teachers and clergy

@Pretzel It is very unfortunate, there should be a National registry of dirtbags so they can't go and do the same thing somewhere else, kind of like the sex offenders one...

@spjennifer they are proposing that in the congress now - wouldn't be surprised to see it pass.

it's needed. not everybody that has a badge deserves to keep it.

@Adstar Sage advice for anyone, no matter if you're white, black, brown, or purple, obey the law and be polite and you probably won't get your ass kicked by the police.
