I don't know if you're saying recognizing that people aren't equal is a Marxist view or that it isn't a Marxist view. Can you elaborate?

@plungesponge Marxists for the most part do not believe in equality. They believe some people are more valuable to the human race than others.

Many would argue you've got it backwards. Marxists believe everyone is equally entitled to share in what society has produced. It's capitalism that puts people into market competition so that the best takes all.
