Is it me or have we accepted Covid -19 as new normal

@Soossie Our friends moved back last year, sold their rental properties but still own their house. They came to California in March for their daughter’s wedding & it got delayed because of the COVID quarantines...they came here as soon as they could fly to stay in their house. Now going back to California but they had bad riots nearby last week so they don’t really know if the wedding is back on or they will have to have it somewhere else. Chaos. And the mother wants to live here in Oklahoma because she says it’s too crowded & other things. She said Oklahoma is not so bad, not crowded, traffic is not bad, & stores not crowded either. But it’s more expensive to live & she’d have to go back to work & is ready to retire.

Oh my God!! How quickly things can change in our lives... I hope that they will find the best solution

@Soossie I hope she doesn’t separate from her husband. That man is a jewel. I’ve never seen anyone work so hard. He would buy up small homes & remodel them & sell them to make money. Also built a room onto the car lot & worked constantly till he got it done.

What a nice man....

@Soossie He had a good business when he left there and came here, made a lot of money. But he wanted his children to all get an education here so they stayed about 25 years, one doctor, one lawyer & one who is genius inventing video games & buying things online & reselling (that one made $60,000 one year while in high school). They are all staying here.

God bless him... he has,already sacrifised a lot for his family... why would his wife seoarate from him??

@Soossie I don’t know but when she said it shocked me. I didn’t say anything negative though. She needs to figure it out. Health care is not cheap even with insurance and they are neither one young any more. Having to work full time to get insurance at this age is not good when you can retire.

True... but I believe each one of us has hercown values at life... she surely has her owns, which cant be judged... 🤗🤗🌷

As a good friend, perhaps you can give her some advice..

@Soossie Believe they are already gone to California. She can talk to the children I guess. Only they know what they can afford to do. I know they both missed their family back in Iran and the culture and the fresh foods etc. They would go for a visit every few years but it’s different when you live somewhere all the time. She came back here to Oklahoma and said she felt more relaxed here.
