So I’m staying in a shelter due to domestic violence?

I’m curious what I should do? So I wanted to get into this place and they have a process of 3 interviews. I’m curious as to what I should do.

I did good on the first interview and she accepted me out of 15 applications to do a 2nd interview for the two positions.

I did the second interview and she interviewed 5 people for the placement at their shelter. So with that being said there is only 2 positions.

Should I call because she said she would call me Monday which is today? Do I call her or should I wait for her to call ? I really want to get into this place so I can have more time to get back on my feet

Give it a few hours and then , yes. Give her a call. It will do no harm to call and let her know you are anxious.

I guess, for me, this seems like a lot of hoops to go through to get help. Interviews and applications to find a safe place to stay and heal? Seems to defeat the point of a domestic violence shelter.

It is a lot of loops to go through that’s because they do so much but I don’t think it’s fair either. I have other eggs in the basket but this one will be a great fit for me @JaggedLittlePill

@ThoughtfulandSincere I understand. You have to do what you have to do. It just makes me sad to think you have to also worry about actually finding a place to be safe.

They help you save and they also give you a car when you finish the program they have child care and so much to offer I just left my apartment and everything because of how bad the situation was he threatened to kill me
