How do you let someone know if you like them?

I’m saying I’m asking YOU personally. What’s your sense of style on letting someone know that you’re interested?

I act like I don't like anyone. Its actually a real problem, started as a subconcious defense mechanism but now I'm aware of it and what it causes for myself and others who have felt rejected by me but I don't know how to be friendly
