Ever encounter a person like this?

Someone who won't or can't accept compromise in conversation. You have to either agree or disagree with everything they believe.

Am I alone in thinking this is an incredibly unhealthy or even destructive way of thinking?

My mother is like that. I once told her that I don't like Miracle Whip so I use real Mayo. She flew off the handle saying I am an asshole and don't know what's good. That is what narcissists with very fragile ego's do.
