how do you stop pests biting you?

These pesky mosquito's in London bite me EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. I wake up with big itchy bites every morning.
Anyone have any tips? :(

@Ashlilly quite pleasant, if any thing at all.... It's a personal insect repellent... It works well, I'm sure it would be available there...I think lol
