Why will cops arrive quickly to the scene when it’s nothing serious but when you’re in trouble they take hours to show up?

Put on a uniform and walk a mile in their shoes, then you can criticize. You can't generalize about all of them, most are honest, hard working men and women just trying to do their job. No, i'm not one of them but I do respect the work that most of them do because they are rarely seeing people at their best, yet they run towards the danger not away from it!

@spjennifer uhm. We can criticize without walking a mile in their shoes. It is our right to do so. Written in the constitution.

I also do not want to walk a mile in the shoes of a person who would justify what happened to George Floyd and all of the others. Nor the ones who stand by and watch. They are mot good guys either.

While I agree that this is a generalized statement...so is yours. You have no evidence to back your claims.

I respect officer of the law who uphold the law in ethical manners. If the amount of black men and women who have been killed by the hands of police is not an indication, to you, that there is systemic problem..then you are willfully ignorant.

Walk a mile in the shoes of Black Americans.

@JaggedLittlePill Whoa, hold on a second, I never disputed that African Americans are being killed nor would I ever defend the actions of those who did kill them or your right to speak freely. I simply stated that you can't say that out of the 750k+ law enforcement in the US that the actions of say even 50000 of them means that all Police are racist. Yes, some of them definitely are but there are many good cops who are not racist and genuinely are there to help those in need so shouldn't be painted with the racist brush. Yes, there is a problem with racism but it isn't unique to Police Departments, it exists at all levels of society and in all jobs...
Because they are quick to use their power when there is no risk to themselves

They get there when they can...

When cops get their quickly, it's cus there were either already near by or had nothing to do.

When they take longer than, it's because their system is being stressed and either they don't have enough people to cover all the problems or they're finishing up with another problem.

Believe it or not, crime usually follows the weather patterns. The colder it gets the less crime they normally have and the warmer it gets the more crime and they can get overwhelmed then, among other times too.
That is bullshit. Whenever I have need a police officer, they have arrived quickly. Stop the hatred.

This is a generalized statement/ question with the intent to rile the audience.

You want more examples?
@JaggedLittlePill just because you label things in the name of safety does not make it right.
