What is a hobo?

What they called homeless people back in the 1930s.

HOmeward BOund. Originally a person who moved away for work then lost the work, house, and transportation. Trying to get back to their family. Now it's just a homeless traveler.

A homeless person is different from a hobo or a tramp. I doubt there are any. Or the term isn’t used anymore.
