I know in certain conditions teeth can hurt from tactile, chemical, osmotic and temperature related irritants but I've never heard of sounds doing that. I mean we use not sound but ultra-sound quite often in dentistry

Gotta say, that's never happened to me. There are noises that annoy me, though. Like when people move plastic bags around/near my ear. Deadass it's too much and my ear starts throbbing.
