@revenant Well, that would define Communist ideology almost by its own admission; but in a democracy "Right" and "Left" have so many shades and nuances that they become meaningful in any one country only by reference to its own society and politics.
In my own country, the UK, strongly-Christian sects like Methodism were especially popular in the 19C and 20C among those equally fiercely loyal to the trades-unions and the Labour Party - organisations some other countries apparently consider dangerously close to the determinedly-atheist USSR!
