Whoa up!!!

Who's spreading this CRAP? 1/ not spread via surfaces = CRAP
2/ just not as infectious = CRAP

All that's changed is that the CDC has been able to produce some statistics to show where the virus has been and done its worst and because of than, the people in that area are LIKELY to be less affected in the future because of neighbourhood immunity - which simply means that if the neighbour has had it, that same neighbour won't be a threat to carry it again. THUS, the numbers of potential carriers diminishes. BUT: IF you encounter someone who hasn't had the virus = probably a friend of yours, the potential is still there if that person has come in contact with some other virus carrier. That encounter would then make you a potential virus carrier too. But you wouldn't know that until the virus incubates in you and you become sick (or get tested).

GET IT? PLAY IT SAFE!
