How are u holding up? Are u staying inside all the time?
revenant · F
@Dan193 no am not and what about you ?
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@revenant you're not staying in? Aren't u scared? I'm relatively young and I'm still being cautious. I go to the store early in the morning when there aren't so many people. And everyone is with masks and gloves. Later in the day, the people arent so careful.

@Dan193 There are not many places to go to ! long queues etc..It is painful not to be able to move around, meet people and have a somewhat normal life. I think it is all manipulation. If it was ebola, it would be different but young people like you and I assume you are healthy..it is criminal to stop you from doing what you need to do and instill that kind of fear in you.

@revenant how else would they make us stay home? Even now people go against it and are careless, up until it will happen to them, they don't care.

@revenant Young people can spread it too, unfortunately. I don't want to have my parents or my grand-parents on my conscience, I can perfectly survive some months or even years without going to the pub/clubs/etc, personally.

@Elessar the power of introverts !
revenant · F
@Dan193 I might as well end my life now

@revenant Haha, true! But I'm a bit of both honestly, getting a good beer along with my friends in one of those English-style pubs, sitting near the stove and enjoying a dish of cheese / cold cuts together is (/was) kind of a weekly thing for us, lol, and probably the best thing about Winter. Especially after a full week of work.

@Elessar you sound a bit like me lol..I love english pubs 😁. It is illegal to enjoy life from now on
Elessar · 26-30, M
@revenant Actually over here they reopened, since our numbers are much better compared to a few months ago (keep in mind the outbreak started earlier here as well, and we had one of the tightest lockdown, with most people cooperating and taking guidelines seriously). We'll see within the end of the next week if the numbers go up again - if they don't, and I hope they won't, everything will stay open.

Life in Italy is pretty much back to normality at the moment, with masking and distances of course, but so far we're doing fine and can't complain much. 🤞

I'm enjoying cycling in the meanwhile 😊 https://similarworlds.com/10-Hobbies/3329035-Well-bike-trips-are-now-allowed-regionally

@Elessar Italy was always on the news !
Somebody said : if you can control Italians, you can control the French, if you can control the French you can control the Germans and so on 😁

Oh I hope life will start looking kind of normal for you again !

@revenant I know, we've been the first to be hit unfortunately. But at least it seems like the worst is behind us, at this point.

Oh, it already did! The earliest attempt for reopening has started now 3 weeks ago, and the curve has kept going down. Since this week restaurants, pubs, hairdressers, gyms and pretty much almost every activity have resumed operation (with safety rules, ofc) and we'll see by the end of next week where we're directed. 🤞
