I miss working with zoo animals daily

Yeah right now a lot of them aren’t excepting volunteers because of the current situation. Animals are able to contract it as well so they really don’t want to risk anyone new coming in that isnt an essential

I mean when I go into volunteer now I have to get temperature tested and everything

It’s a lot of work with the rest of the population trying to screw it up. Especially now that the ivory trade is back open that completely shattered us at the zoo. People take such advantage of animals and it’s unfortunate. Even simple things like cutting dandelions that kills bees on a daily basis. We have a hive that we are trying desperately to replenish He’s in our area. I just hope someday people will realize that we need to preserve what we have
