Calms Forte is a homeopathic treatment, very gentle. Was recommended to my friend for her young autistic son by his doctor. Maybe some type of white noise to help cancel out any sounds that might keep him awake. My daughter always slept better if the washer or dryer was running. I was careful to make sure only one was running at a time so as to prolong her naps.

@Soramarie homeopathy works in a reverse... anyway go with what she said but I did used to use coffea homeopathic remedy myself. And I put bags of lavender in every bedroom.

@Soramarie Some mothers have also given their children chamomile tea as it is good for sleep. Have to watch and make sure they don't have a ragweed allergy because there can be a cross-sensitivity with it.

She likes tea but I think I would have to sugar it down because it’s not that sweet. And I’m afraid to sugar it down at night after she’s brushed her teeth

@Paliglass I bought a lavender oil infused bag that was supposed to be used to scent a closet.Found it at a Farmer's Market here one day. Put it on the dash of my car and drove to Oklahoma City to visit someone. Driving back home I had to fight going to sleep because of it. Took that thing and put it in my bedroom and laid it on the bookcase headboard to help me sleep better.

@Soramarie I do think though with children if they're tired out and they haven't had too much TV etc or as you say sugar then it's better to avoid using anything. It's probably just a defiance phase.

@Soramarie a couple of stevia packets will sweeten it. Honey is also a sleep inducer. You could stir a spoon full in her tea and have her brush her teeth or rinse her mouth really good.

I always forget she’s old enough to have honey now@cherokeepatti

@Paliglass It probably is defiance but even so some natural remedies can help with that and they won't even know what you're doing so they can't protest it.

@cherokeepatti I keep a whole bunch in my own room 😂 kids just have small bags on their heaters.

The other thing is Roman Chamomile, not normal Chamomile, has to be Roman. There's different types. But that will knock you out and kids shouldn't have that.

[@She’s being two. Also how’s life we haven’t talked in a while. I had the baby he is fantastic
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@Soramarie it could be a reaction to the baby. There's that to get used to.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Paliglass I've heard that it's good for children. Not too much of course.
Soramarie · 26-30, F
[@I’ve been wondering the same thing but she’s so so good with him
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@cherokeepatti I wouldn't give that to children. Unless it was so bad they were saying they needed tablets but then to me if a child can't sleep something is going on because not sleeping is more psychological usually.
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@Soramarie sounds like the baby is loved by her but it's brought out a defiance attention seeking behaviour of refusing to sleep. It'll pass but personally I'd try reverse psychology before any medicine.
