Did you survive without a social circle?

I have only few friends, but I appreciate them very much. It takes year before I trust someone,but once I do, they have my loyalty.

I was deeply lonely and depressed. But I was alive/surviving. Now I have one close friend, and another other friend.

Be content in your own company, learn how to fill your time, embrace the advantages of freedom from expectation and of being your own boss. Cutting off a social circle can be a choice too, not just something that is imposed on you. Life can be a lot simpler when you don't have to think about 50 other people.

We’re still in contact even though I haven’t seen them.

Close family and not really needing constant social contact. I have a few friends though I see sporadically (pre lockdown) or I think I'd be lonely, especially with trying to entertain a child all day. Before my daughter I was very happy to spend all my time I wasn't working indoors!

Yes. It sounds crude, but a stay-at-home order helps. I have a friend who was always begging me to go out to eat. I didn't have the time or money. Now we aren't supposed to go ANYWHERE and the restaurants are closed. I STILL don't have the money.
