@Zonuss A now 100 year old guy, walked a marathon in his own back garden. To raise £1000. He went viral. Raised just short of £30m. Given honorary title of Colonel.

@Valentine he didn't walk a marathon, he walked 100 laps of his garden which was about 100 yards

@Zonuss He set out at 99 to walk around his garden 100 times before his 100th birthday on April 30th and to raise £1,000 for NHS Charities Together. He succeeded with his walk and actually raised over £33 million - the man is a true inspiration.🙂

@JovialPlutonian I did wonder, as I wrote it. My bad. sorry. To him, at 100, it was like a marathon. Shall I stop digging? Not having a good day today. D'oh.

@JovialPlutonian You try it if you make it to 99.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F

@JovialPlutonian Just googled it on Wiki (the ever dependable source of reliable information): he walked 2700 yards, 2500 metres. With a zimmer frame. A virtual marathon I think?

@Dlrannie Again, I couldn't imagine the world would not go the final mile and up it >£30m. They did. Good on'em.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Valentine 2500 meters is like 2.5 km

@JovialPlutonian Yes, I did know this? I'm not having that bad a day.
