There have been a few..I don't know the exact number but...

It seems kids tend to be carriers. They do not exhibit many symptoms but test positive.

Children are showing some form of physical evidence of the virus...it seems some are developing large blister like things on their feet and toes. Experts think this could be due to the inflammation the virus causes in the body.

@JaggedLittlePill this is the weirdest virus! look how it affects different groups...

and it causes blood clots in some people

i'll be very happy to see a vaccine

@Pretzel which is why IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE NOT JUMP THE GUN AND OPEN BACK UP.

We do not know enough about this virus or how it will expand or change.

@JaggedLittlePill i've heard that argument. the problem is that we don't have our own food supply and rely on getting out getting supplies.

which means people 1) have to work 2) have to go in public and 3) will contact other people

I'd love to be able to sit home until the vaccine is produced - I just don't see that as practical.

I'd agree that it ins't the best time to go to a movie or concert.

I have my trusty mask, for whatever good it's worth. hoping for the best.

@Pretzel The stay at home order does motnprevent us from going out and getting food. Not sure what you pointing there.

Social distancing means do not go near anyone. Wear a mask. Dont touch your face. Wash your hands. Is there something hard about this? Nope.

I am working or being paid.

I am.not going to wall back into a preschool and put myself, my family or other children at risk unless there is a real treatment or vaccine. What we are doing now is helping. If we stop doing it it will get worse and we will then have to be lpre strict with the quarantine.

Imagine that.

@Pretzel also who said any of this is practical?

Pracrical is a false feeling. This is a virus. You can't control it, it controls you.

@JaggedLittlePill no need to snark my friend - we aren't enemies.

my point is when we get food - we are getting it from a whole load of people that are working from the production, canning, packaging, transportation, stocking, and sales end.

that's a ton of people.

not everybody can work from home - but those that can probably should.

on a related note - we may find that offices are as necessary as brick and mortar stores and school. we may be witnessing a change in the work scenario. after all, why get up/dressed/transported to work if all you're going to do is work on the phone or computer all day long - business may well save money by hiring people to work from the house.

but there are many jobs that require being at a physical location. manufacturing and food production are just two examples that come to mind.

I'm all for social distancing - and other countries wear masks regularly - although it is more for air pollution (what more polluting than a virus though).

you bring up an interesting point about schools though - one that I honestly don't have an answer for. on one hand they need to learn - on the other hand from preschool to high school having a large group of people together may very well be a petri dish. could masks keep them safe enough to learn. otherwise we'll be putting kids back a year in school - I'm not sure that they will get a good learning experience - but then again lots of people home-school...
(gawd I just sounded like Trump - sorry about that)
