Have been a blood donor for years so through that I will have done. Also when we were about 14 stopped a mate from crossing a railway track. We couldn't here the train coming but I could here the metal tracks vibrating and knew one was on its way. I grabbed him by the back of his T-shirt and pulled him back. He turned round to yell at me as a train shot by. Never forgot the look on his face.
In my 20's I also talked a crying girl with mental health problems and voices in her head telling her to stab people into giving me the knife she had and comforted her until the police arrived, funnily enough on a train. I also more recently looked after a young lad threatening to throw himself off a bridge and talked him into walking off the bridge with me and calling his family to take him home.
