@MeowsoliniReturns Yes, so I heard. Saw a clip yesterday of a young nurse who gave up her job because she was expected to work on a Covid-19 ward with absolutely no protection. She needed to protect her young kids and was in tears.
Tragic all round.

@Moonpenny the numbers from ons are official numbers it's just they count different to the daily figures.

They can (relatively) easily produce the deaths in hospital due to covid-19 figures as they can be quickly gathered. The ons figures have to wait for death to be registered then search for Covid-19 on it that can be several days after death etc and depend on the doctor making an assessment on cause(s) of death. Uk doesn't test each death yet so they are less accurate figures as well.

@SW-User Thanks for the clarification. I suppose no numbers are strictly accurate. We just see the trend.

@Moonpenny yes the daily death figure is also more comparable with other countries death figures so makes the comparison of where we are on the curve much easier.
