Ahh, Yeah!
Journalism is dead.
Media is nothing more than propaganda anymore.

@Budwick was it ever not propaganda?

@SW-User Believe it or not Nitro, there was such a time.
Media used to simply report the news.
They used to need several verified sources.
They used to simply write / say what happened.

It wasn't constant news cycle.
Reporters were never trying to become the news themselves.

Now, there's always been editorials.
Media outlets often had several points of view published.

The constant hammering on the same tired topics after having been shamed for lying yesterday and the day before is exhausting.

Even the weather people get in on the sensationalism.
Common storms blowing through never had names before!
Hurricanes and Cyclones, sure - but thunderstorms?

It was a simpler time Nitro.
I'm sorry you missed it.

@Budwick what time was that?

@SW-User I was born on the 50's.
By the time I was your age, things were already going South.
SW-User
@Budwick did they report rampant discrimination and segregation factually and unbiasedly?

@SW-User Interesting that you selected such a precise topic.
But yes, I think they did a good job reporting.
Back in the 60's when there was still actual racism,
the race riots were reported on, long film segments provided, followed by narratives from both sides.

I think news reporting is what gave movements Like Dr. King some traction.
