Does anyone have any idea....?

What can I do with a 10lb bag of potatoes which was left out in the truck all night and froze?

Now they’ve thawed and they’re mushy and soft.
I’ve picked through and was able to salvage about half of them, but I don’t like the idea of just throwing out 5 lbs of potatoes!
Anyone have a recipe which calls for frozen or ‘soft’ potatoes?

You could go ahead and fix them into potato soup or whatever. Potatoes have high starch and water content so freezing them isn't going to make them taste great but you should be able to use them in potato soup or use them as a filler in a gravy to thicken it.

@Fungirlmmm yes I was thinking about potato soup. My concern was the taste of them, after being frozen...? Maybe I’ll try it anyway. If they’re going to be thrown out, I could at least try something haha

@ImpeccablyImperfect I have used frozen potatoes in potato soup but they were frozen on purpose so I'm not sure.

@ImpeccablyImperfect You know we are all so exhausted after shopping that I'm surprised more of us arent eating accidentally frozen food.

@ImpeccablyImperfect :) then he should lead the way in finding good freezer potato recipes. Tell him you are making quarantine freezer jam and anything frozen is going in it. Freezer potato jam. ;)
