There's more people walking past my house than ever. I know they are allowed to exercise but why do people find the lockdown so difficult?

They should have said exercise in your house.
Many people are no longer permitted to go to work and are not used to being tethered to one place. We are learning to appreciate getting outside for fresh air and Spending time in a different environment. Children are no longer in school, therefore, have no recess or outlet for their energy. We are all just trying to Make the best of a strange and unfamiliar situation.

Being in “lockdown” makes some people uncomfortable and anxious. Look at caged animals...without room to move they become aggressive and pace the walls of their cell. Hell, even prison inmates get an hour or so out of their cell in the outside.

Don’t assume everyone is comfortable being closed up away from the world.

@Pinkstarburst I have never liked staying home. I have always liked getting up and getting out.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
They encourage you to get and go for walks though, just keep your distance is all.
MeowsoliniReturns · 51-55, F
@Keepitsimple Correct!
Stereoguy · 56-60, M
@Keepitsimple I got a 30 challenge on my phone to get 10,000 steps a day for the next 30 days.
WineandCoffee · 46-50, F
They said a lot of things @Keepitsimple

I have a field at the front of me where I walk most days. It's a popular place to walk dogs but fewer people are bringing their dogs out, apart from this morning when the sun was out. They were all practising distancing, which is fine. I for one, need fresh air and as long as people are sensible, there's nothing wrong with exercising this way. After all, C19 isn't an airborne virus.

@Moonpenny Lovely! Good for your mental health!

@MeowsoliniReturns
I need it 🤪
Don't we all?
MeowsoliniReturns · 51-55, F
@Moonpenny Yes, yes we do!
MethDozer · M
Going outside isn't any issue. It's grouping together that is.

That said I don't understand how people can hate their houses so much
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
@MethDozer yes but theres lots of people quite close to each other walking past.
WineandCoffee · 46-50, F
I’ve never seen so many dogs being walked !!
FloorGenAdm · 46-50, M
Gangs of hooligans.
Chevy454 · 41-45, M
Why is that a problem??
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
@Chevy454 theyve specifically said the people you exercise with have to be from your household. People are using it to flout the rules.
Chevy454 · 41-45, M
So. You’re in your house apparently. Who cares?? Let them live their lives. I walk my dog and go to stores and everything else I normally do except for what these idiots banned. @PaleandPolluted
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
@Chevy454 bye byeee
MeowsoliniReturns · 51-55, F
Because they need fresh air?
WineandCoffee · 46-50, F
Sure.. why not. Not like theirs a pandemic that requires a vaccine. Run ... fly be free.
@MeowsoliniReturns
MeowsoliniReturns · 51-55, F
@WineandCoffee You completely misunderstand. If you are NOT around others while you are out you are NOT spreading the virus.
@WineandCoffee That is fear talking. You would feel much better if you took a nice walk outside.
Exercise isn't essential anyway. Some people haven't left their house in years haha
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@Qwerty14 yep, delivery is key to never leaving the house AND never having to have any friends 😂😂
@Paliglass Lol my friends would try to Skype with me just to know I'm still alive
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@Qwerty14 how irritating 🤭😂
Paliglass · 41-45, F
I have barely left. I have exercised 3 times in nearly 3 weeks so don't look at me 😂
Stereoguy · 56-60, M
I have been walking for five years now. I try for 10,000 steps or more per day.
MeowsoliniReturns · 51-55, F
@Stereoguy Excellent!!
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
@Stereoguy yes i can totally understand people who walked for exercise before but I've never seen these people.
