Are you a sensitive person?

I am. And I make no apologies for it. I don't think it makes you weak.

being sensitive doesn't make you weak, but using it as an excuse does.

@UnlikelyTomato Using it as an excuse how? Please explain.
@MeowsoliniReturns an excuse to demand respect, control behavior, to judge and punish, to escape criticism.

you can be sensitive and strong.
but when you demand people bow to you cause of your feelings, your sensitivity becomes a crutch.

Strength is being able to live beyond your limits, not within them.

@UnlikelyTomato I've not seen others do this. Respect is respect whether you are a sensitive person or not.
@MeowsoliniReturns i've had the unfortunate experience of working with people who's sensitivity required I keep my opinions to myself, or that I don't criticize poor decisions.

It's like walking a social minefield, and it drains on your soul.

@UnlikelyTomato I think there is such a thing as tact. In other words, you can express how you feel without destroying someone.
@MeowsoliniReturns and I try.
but some people cannot be reasoned with.

I appreciate your civil response, many would have me blocked for this.

@UnlikelyTomato No worries. As long as you are respectful and honest without being deliberately cruel I don't see why you need to tiptoe around issues that need to be expressed or addressed.
@MeowsoliniReturns I can be blunt at times, and I can become rude when people get on my nerves.
I always try to be the best person I can, but I never lie about my opinion just to respect someone's sensibilities, and that has gotten me into trouble.

I wish you well, and take care in these strange times.

@UnlikelyTomato Thank you. And the same to you. All the best!
