Do you know that there are people who have recovered from this virus?

If you or a loved one tests positive, please don't look at it as a death sentence. Many more people have recovered from this than died from it. For some reason the media doesn't want to mention this.

The recovery rate is 93%. Its the rare few that are getting seriously ill from it. In California the have 40 million people living there. They lose 6.9/1000 every year (deaths) from all causes. They have had 101 covid deaths thus far.

@TexChik 7% still leaves a lot of room for so much death though. If what the President said is true and the US loses even anything close to 100,000 people in the span of a few weeks. I don't care what the recovery rate is...that's a lot of death in such a short span from a singular event. An act of terrorism by Mother Nature (or China if your tin foil hat is tightly affixed this morning).

@SW-User The swine flu infected 66 million, hospitalized 330,000, and killed 12470 … in the US. Covid thus far has not approached those numbers

@TexChik You're right. Swine flu killed 12,470 people over the course of 12 months and had a recovery rate of approximately 99.9998%. That's a long ways from 93% so it's not really a great comparison statistically. Covid is more than likely going to have killed more people than that in the US before it even reaches its peak.
