Have you been holding your breath about my grocery pickup order? 馃榿

Likely not.

But just in case...since March 17th, I have been trying to order groceries on line from all three of the local chains that offer the service. No dice.

Finally, on Friday, I got through to Smith's and placed an order. I fully expected to get an 'order cancelled' like the last time. I didn't.

I drove to the store, expecting crowds and hassle. Didn't happen.

Almost everything on my order was available (not chicken).

The pickup gentleman was cheerful and friendly and told me 'my store' was shut down for two weeks (although it was the main website that was crashed) and 'sent everybody to the other store.'

I tipped handsomely...about 35%. although I can't do that every time. Or maybe I can. I need them and they are there. Fair's fair.

EDIT: Unpacking my groceries, I found that while I ordered and paid for 10 cans of tuna, I got 11.

I called grocery pickup, knowing beforehand what they would say, and they did not disappoint. "Wow. That's honest. Just forgit it."

Forgotten. Almost.

@Mamapolo2016 I was referring to self-control. My own lack of. 馃榿

@SwampFlower I take heart that I have more talent at self-isolating, which rather replaces self-control.

I placed an order with my local Kroger鈥檚 through their app, to be picked up today. They had all but one item - and they let me know about that ahead of time. The pickup went smoothly. Color me impressed.
