Are you forever second-guessing yourself?

Something in my phone conversation today with my daughter just struck me.

She was explaining how hard it was for her to get to the knowledge that she should ask about being tested for covid-19.

I asked how long she'd had the cough. She said about four days - when she noticed it. But then she kept wondering if it was covid-hypochondria...was she really coughing more than usual? And the next day or two...was her throat really drier than usual? Maybe even a little sore?

We still don't know if it's a mild winter cold or covid-19...and since it IS mild, the test results don't mean much to her, personally.

It could mean a lot to others - which is why it is great she hasn't been anywhere but the grocery store in the last week and a half.

If you even vaguely think you should be tested, you probably should. If tests are scarce where you are, self-quarantine until you know more.

It's not just that you might get it. It's that you might get it and not know it and pass it on...and the possible effects of that are mind-boggling.
First step is to call your doctor and run the symptoms by them. I'd never decide on my own if I should test or not. Especially if you're high risk.
@Mamapolo2016 hope it's just a regular cough 馃尲
@HannahSky She's not 'very sick at all' so whatever it is, it's not terrifying personally. Generally, yes.

Forever and ever but at least I have smarter people to defer to with such matters.

Everyone needs to hear this. I'm still praying for you two. 馃

@Mamapolo2016 Yes Amen
I do second guess myself as I've not always made the right choices
@SW-User Show me someone who HAS made all the right choices. 馃
