Is your city locked down ?

ninalanyon · 61-69, T
No. Shops are allowed to be open, we can go out when and where we please so long as we keep our distance. Shops have put marks on the floor at checkouts showing metre spacing and put up perspex shields between the cashier and customers. So far it is all working well, people are mostly behaving themselves, and the death toll is low (nationally 4000 confirmed infected, 300 in hospital, 25 dead).

But a lot of shops, cafés, bars, restaurants, etc., have closed voluntarily because they are unable to comply with the rules or feel that staying open would put their staff at risk. Also a lot have closed temporarily simply because there are almost no customers.

Chemists are open but have even stricter distancing rules than normal shops.

I hear so many still go shopping they are standing in line , it's that busy.

@Ingwe If they stay at least a metre away from everyone else then they should be alright. Supermarkets here (Norway) put marks on the floor by the checkout to show how far apart people should be. If other people don't take these simple precautions you should probably avoid them.

"Stay-At-Home" order here in Michigan (state wide).. We can still move around with social distancing, and go out to buy food and medicine, and essentials (with a cover over our faces)..

The entire country is. They've also banned alcohol and cigarette sales. Only groceries and pharmacies are open, that and medical staff are still working.

Yes. It's very quiet at the moment. But the people are still out in the stores.
