Will other states follow this example from Ca.?

I read recently that legislation is being passed that during this health crisis that landlords will not be able to evict tenants unable to pay rent, or the inability for home= buyers to meet mortgage payments.

People in CA already complaining they’ll have to pay it back in the future.@SW-User
@SW-User Ugh, thats not so good, hopefully the language of the bills passed will be amended by the time the allotted time comes.

I think mom and pop landlords are getting hit the worst. A guy who works his whole life and buys a 2 or 3 family home, then has desdbeat tenants the govt tells him he must house for free?@Grateful4you
@AthrillatheHunt True, but the deadbeat tenants are a minority of the population. Forcing people into homelessness is a form of suicide, folks don't understand that already in Los Angeles on "skid row" there are already cases of typhus, (a disease that hasn't been seen in this country for over a hundred years) We will have a problem that could potentially be far worse than nuclear bombs.

55% of calif residents are renters.
Most properties are not owned by large multinationals. Most rentals are 2 or 3 family houses owned by middle class people with huge mortgages.@Grateful4you
