I have only watched a few scenes. I remember it because it describes people so well. Most people only act civil. They are no better than Joker

You were just totally wrong about me being Batman influence. I don't even watch movies. I remember that scene because it says exactly that social psychology tells us.

Most people are clueless how evil they can truly be. And those who think that are nice have much less ability to reflect how unethical they get. It's called halo effect
