@sarabee1995 Lol 😆
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@KaysHealingPath Yeah I thought it was funny too. The first day. Then I woke up on the second day and had to do it again. And then again. And now it's two years later. 🙄

@sarabee1995 just a few more to go hun.
🤗🤗
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@KaysHealingPath Maybe many more? I don't know yet. There's a lot I like about life in the Navy, but the bun isn't one of them.

@sarabee1995 Regs are regs man! 😁
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@sarabee1995 totally your choice and I respect and admire it my cousin is AF she loves her military life and plans to retire after a full career in the AF.
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@ninjavu Absolutely right!

@KaysHealingPath Thank you! My girlfriend is AF as well down at Lackland. I haven't decided yet whether this is a career for me or not. My original plan coming out of university was the diplomatic service (State Dept), but my Navy recruiter convinced me that a military background would be valuable for a career at State. So here I am. 🙂

A woman with goals and aspirations I love it!!!! I so want to wish you the best of luck on your career and in life @sarabee1995 Thank you for your service 🙏🏼 🤗
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@KaysHealingPath Thanks! I had little choice about being a person with goals though... You should meet my parents! 🙄 (Mom & dad both have PhDs.)
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@sarabee1995 ah well I’d gladly trade places with you.

I had goals. But my mother was selfish and self serving. I had to leave my house at 16 for my safety. She took up for her husband rather than protect me.

I wanted a military career and so much more. But I left at 16 worked two jobs and went to high school to support myself.
I got pregnant my senior year and had my son who’s dad walked out on us when he was 2 weeks olds after that there was no way in hell I was leaving for the military and leaving my son in my mother’s care.

So be grateful for the parents you have, I could only dream of what it’s like to have responsible parents that love and push you to do something with your life.

Years later my mom wouldn’t even co sign for a student loan for me to get a degree in design. Because she co-signed a vehicle for my brother and he never paid it off. She was literally comparing a college education to a stupid suv.

The way I speak of her your think she was some trashy lady.

But she’s not, she is always dressed and made up. She was in the AF and has been working in the accounting department of a large tool company for over 20 years. She speaks elegantly in English and Spanish and never curses. Well I shouldn’t say never she very rarely curses.

@KaysHealingPath I'm so sorry this has been your life experience. No child should grow up this way.

But yes, I know very well that I was blessed in the family department. Thank you 🤗

KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@sarabee1995 awesome 🤗
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@SailorMarz it’s just life. I’d like to think it helped shape me into being NOT like my mom
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@SailorMarz Every single day! 🙄 If I cut it shorter I could wear it down, but I don't want to cut it to my collar.

@KaysHealingPath I've heard on here a few times what an awesome mom you are, so yes, I think your background was part of that. :)
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@sarabee1995 thank you 🙏🏼
