We gorge ourselves with beef...and they say nothing. Who knows , they may love cattle like children ...
They are not emotionally attached to cats and dogs. Those animals are like cattle to them. We shouldn't try to force them to forgo their food, because it is breaking our hearts.
We can scream and shout about how the animals are kept and being slaughtered. Yeah that's fine. But we should mind our own business.
