Is there anyone else that thinks China has way under-reported their death toll ? Cause when I look at the rest of the world’s total cases and theirs is extremely high (for now), their death toll seems too small ... [image deleted]

China just happened to be the largest medical appliance manufacturer on the planet, which no doubt helped them deal with it. They've since sent teams of corvid-19 specialist to other counties which further demonstrates that (at least now) they have a handle on it that most other countries are lacking.

And if anyone's mortality rate stnds out as being suspiciously low on that graphic I'd suggest it would be the USA's with 66% of china's total cases but with only 11% of china's total deaths.

@ThePerfectUsername I’ve wondered about that too, but most ‘experts’ suggest that the US is at the beginning of the outbreak and I expect those numbers to grow dramatically in the next few weeks, especially as medical supplies (especially ventilators) run low ...

Help may be at hand with those ventilators. While Trump's busily blaming everyone else for the shortage Elon Musk went online and bought a batch of 12 thousand of them to be used foc anywhere in the US. Guess where he found them? China.

@ThePerfectUsername 12,000 ventilators will only make a small dent in what is needed. New York State alone needs 30,000 more than they have on hand in the next 2-3 weeks, or people will die for the lack of ventilators. The feds sent 400 as of yesterday, though they have promised to send 4000 this week.
