What is making rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide such popular horder items?

Both items are not good to use on wounds and cuts and stuff, because it can kill the good bacteria that helps heal and prevent infections. A saline solution is the better choice.

I totally disagree with you. Saline isn't going to kill any microbes. The worldwide medical community totally disagrees with you too.

@quitwhendone then you need to do more research because this is how we treat people when they come in.
@Arorin Who is "we"?
Arorin · M
@quitwhendone I shouldn't have to do this as you are a grown adult and can do your own research but here you go educate yourself.

"We" being the people who are professionally trained to give aid.
@Arorin Thank you. I appreciated it.

I used to suture years ago in an ER. Our protocol included saline, Betadine and sometimes hydrogen peroxide. Things have changed.

@quitwhendone yes they have changed a lot. New training seems to drop every week. I trained in the military and now mostly work with animals on my farm while my wife is an RN with a bsn going for nurse practitioner.
@Arorin Great!
