A woman in the USA has been billed for treatment for the Corona virus. She was uninsured and turned up at hospital and was tested. She has been billed $35,000.

If she had bought insurance.........how many years of it would $35,000 paid for?? If people want to go gamble.....they should be prepared to pay when they lose.

@Entwistle Then who does pay? Let me guess...............WE DO.....because she says screw it, cant afford it. That is why when we go the hospital a Tylenol costs $28 each. I know a shitload of folks just like that woman. No money for insurance.....but they have money to get their nails done once a month to the tune of $200 a visit. Or their hair done every week. Or a new car. Or a pack or two of cigarettes a day at $7.50 a pack. Or a 12 pack every trip to the store. Life is a series of priorities.....choosing the ones you like for pleasure...but never doing without to pay for something that is a necessity..thinking oh well screw it someone else will pay it for me...is a poor choice of priorities.

@Entwistle Life is a series of choices...would I rather buy this for myself or save that money for when I need it? Would I rather have a low paying easy job than have to work hard for a better wage? Would I rather work at all if I can get a check sitting at home? You can bet your life if one says I will not pay $450 a month for insurance.....they are spending that more and more on items they WANT to spend it on. Choices. Whether it's nails and hair.....or whatever....the point is the same.
