What do you think about weird companies that think they can get away with being thieves?

People have recently tried to steal my brothers sons face, and falsely claimed a copyright over it. Along with a symbol they designed for their son.

This of course has created a bizarre drama with emails where they've had to basically threaten companies like Amazon with legal to take down these companies pages in which they're trying to deceive others with things that don't belong to them.

What goes through the mind of a shady business person, to ever think it would be a good idea to claim a child's face as their own?

@AuRevoir speak with a copyright lawyer and see if you can get a free consultation. Also contact the websites they are trying to sell it on and ask them to take down the product.

@SW-User They already copyrighted and sent the notices that they'll seek legal action if they don't take it down.

It's just bizarre that anyone would think it's a good idea. Like do they assume most wouldn't find out about their actions? I just don't get the driving force behind it?

@AuRevoir maybe you can still talk to a copyright lawyer and maybe you can talk to the copyright office and file a complaint?
