Mental illness and religion.

Is it time society viewed religious beliefs as a mental illness?
How would society benefit if it couldn't control billions of people with this nonsensical belief?

Indoctrination. Like any learned behaviour, you are programmed from a young age to believe what your elders do and told you will burn for eternity if you dont. The problem the indoctrinated, they cant not intrude onto other people and force their belief, no matter how ridiculous.

It can be deprogrammed IF they choose, but it has to be choice.

@HeteroDox You? Who's you? You can't speak for other people. You are making grand assumptions. You didn't live anyone's life but your own so you can't make those kind of sweeping statements with any validity. I believe in God and I was never told that or raised that way.

@SW-User I speak sociologically. If you take it personally, that's your issue.
