Mental illness and religion.

Is it time society viewed religious beliefs as a mental illness?
How would society benefit if it couldn't control billions of people with this nonsensical belief?

Some religious people do seem almost mentally ill; they can't (or perhaps they just choose not to) discuss any topic without framing it in a religious reference. 😳
