it depends. I believe in constructive criticism. If they are trying to help me by pointing out something I can change , and that might benefit me, then I welcome their criticism, and I would try to learn from it. If they are just criticizing me for no other reason than to put me down, to make themselves feel better some how, then I ignore it.

If it is helpful criticism then I am not upset. But just to put me down and make fun of me, my response will not be friendly

Recite, "blood pressure" x 4
Is that person worth your health?

I don't let things bother me to raise much blood pressure ..Just a cutting smart remark back usually shuts things down and a good laugh follows
If I had any regard for their opinion, I would listen.

Usually with a smile, thanking them for pointing out the error in my ways. Then after much analysis I will decide later if their input was valid. If so, I will adjust. If not, I will not. The potential conflict does cause me some anxiety though

Oh, this is a precarious subject, but when brought in the right way and dosis, by the right person, it isn't a real problem.
